Accounts

Parent, Driver, and School Admin accounts are created only by an authorized School Admin - there is no public self-registration. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and any boarding code confidential, and for notifying the school promptly if you believe either has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Use PingMyBus only for its intended purpose - tracking and coordinating school transport for students enrolled with the school. Do not share a student's boarding code with anyone other than the people authorized to board or collect that student. Do not attempt to access another family's, driver's, or student's data.

Service description and limitations

PingMyBus shows a bus's location and estimated arrival time based on the driver's phone GPS. This is a real-time estimate, not a guaranteed or certified measurement - phone GPS accuracy can vary, and a brief loss of signal is expected behavior, not a service failure. PingMyBus is a supplementary safety and coordination tool, and should not be treated as the sole means of monitoring a child's safety or whereabouts, nor as a substitute for a school's own safety procedures.

PingMyBus does not currently use government-certified vehicle tracking hardware (such as AIS-140 certified devices), and does not represent itself as meeting any specific regulatory vehicle-tracking mandate.

Account suspension

A School Admin may deactivate any account associated with their school at any time (e.g. a student leaving the school, or a driver's employment ending).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that meaningfully affects your use of the service, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
